About Vera

A short biography

My Story

Vera B. Mercer writes cosmic and psychological horror for those who find the human condition more frightening than the monsters lurking beneath it. Her debut novel, The Creation of Sylvan, explores a world where faith has been outlawed, truth is carefully manufactured, and the boundary between creation and creator is disturbingly uncertain. Through existential dread and intimate human suffering, Mercer examines the cruelty of existence and the terrifying possibility that some things are better left undiscovered.
